We’ve talked to a lot of rappers on this page, but today we are going behind the scenes to introduce you to someone from the culture that brings new rappers to your ears. Dough Networkz comes to us all the way from Inglewood, California, born and raised. He is living proof that no matter where you start, you can achieve whatever you set your mind to.
Growing up around heavy gang violence and influences, it was easy to go down a path of self-destruction. Dough Networkz started a 13-year bid before the MySpace era, releasing multiple projects from behind bars including “Doughboy Music Series Vol. 1,” “Above Cloud Vision,” and “Broken Cuffz 1,” which are still available on SoundCloud. He met LA rapper T.F in the prison yard before going on to manage the rapper along with a roster that includes 2Eleven, Bart Oatmeal, and Osbe WK Chill.
In the span of six years, Dough Networkz has amassed a growing following and become a trusted tastemaker within the underground Hip-Hop scene among artists and fans alike. He has credits working with heavy hitters like Rome Streetz, Conway The Machine, and Larry June. Most recently, he A&Red the chart-topping collab project by Jay Worthy and Roc Marciano, “Nothing Bigger than the Program,” which released this May.
Dough Networkz’s story is one of resilience, adaptability, and an unrelenting commitment to the art of Hip-Hop, a testament to his enduring love for the culture. In this exclusive interview, we sat down with the man behind over twenty projects to talk about his inspiring Hip-Hop journey.
